Ciao, all!
Wow, could it have BEEN any longer since I wrote??? How slack! I don't even know what all to include in this letter because it has been so long.
Of course, I can't think about anything except BABY!!! Most of you know this already, but it was excruciating finding out we were pregnant, because I was at Mom and Dad's house in the states when I found out, and I couldn't tell ANYONE! Not Mike, because it would have been over the telephone, and not my family, because I wanted Mike to know first... so I was dying keeping the secret!!! :)
We are so excited we can't stand it. We have our first prenatal appointment on Tuesday the 30th and they will do an ultrasound - they say we should be able to see the baby's heartbeat!
Christine and John are here now - well, not HERE right now, they are on their way here from Munich today. They were here last weekend and will be with us from tonight until Monday am when they leave to return to the states. It's been great to see them! Our friends RJ and Mari, who are stationed in Greece, are also passing in and out of here right now - they were here all last week and will be back this weekend. Their two-year-old son, John, has been a breath of fresh air in the house! Lots of fun.
Everything is good here - the weather is getting pretty now, and I open all the windows every day. It's wonderful - like being outside while I'm inside! I love it. We planted our garden last week - the beginning of it, at least. Tomatoes, zucchini, peppers and strawberries. I hope everything lives and does well - there were itty-bitty strawberries coming out on the plants even before we got them into the ground!
[this letter never finished - continues on 5 May]
